Do you accept insurance? No. Nola Diagnostic Ultrasound is a self-pay imaging studio, which is how we keep pricing transparent at $250 flat with no surprise bills. We accept self-pay and HSA. We do not accept insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. Is a pelvic ultrasound safe?Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves, not radiation, to create images. There's no downtime, and you can return to your normal activities right away. Can I get a pelvic ultrasound while on my period?Yes, you can be scanned at any point in your cycle. If your provider requested imaging on a specific cycle day, follow their instructions when booking. Will I get my results at my appointment?Your sonographer captures the images, but interpreting them is the radiologist's job, so results aren't shared during your scan. A board-certified radiologist reviews your study and sends an official report to your provider within 24 to 48 hours. What happens if something is found on my ultrasound?Your radiology report goes directly to your provider, who will review the findings with you and recommend next steps. Many findings, like simple cysts, are common and very treatable. Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?Yes. You're welcome to bring a partner, friend, or family member for support. Diagnostic appointments can feel stressful, and sometimes it helps just to have someone in the room with you.
