Yes, a diagnostic ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging technique that utilizes sound waves to create detailed images of the body. Unlike imaging methods that use radiation, ultrasounds are considered risk-free and have been used in medical diagnostics for decades. They’re trusted tools for assessing various health conditions across different areas of care.
At Nola Diagnostic Ultrasound, your safety and comfort are our top priorities. Our sonographer holds registries with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and is highly qualified in OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, and pediatric imaging.
Nola Diagnostic Ultrasound is conveniently located at 3108 Cleary Avenue, Suite 205, Metairie, LA 70002, right in the heart of Metairie. We serve patients from across the Greater New Orleans area, including Jefferson Parish, the Northshore, and surrounding communities. We are open seven days a week with evening appointments available, making it easy to get the diagnostic imaging you need on your schedule.
A diagnostic ultrasound is a medically ordered imaging exam performed by a registered sonographer to evaluate health conditions, monitor pregnancies, or support fertility treatments. It requires a provider's order and produces a formal radiology report sent to your healthcare provider.
An elective or keepsake ultrasound (such as 3D/4D/5D scans) is performed for bonding or personal experience purposes and does not produce a clinical report. Nola Diagnostic Ultrasound performs diagnostic exams only. For elective 3D/4D keepsake scans, our sister studio, Sweet Pea 3D/4D Ultrasound Nola, is located in the same suite and can help.
